The Sustainable White Plains Committee (SWP) advises the Mayor on responsible, realistic and cost-effective measures for reducing the environmental impact of the activities of residents, visitors, organizations and businesses, as well as of City government itself.

Meetings

The Sustainable White Plains Committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Common Council Chambers, City Hall, 255 Main Street. Parking is available in the Hamilton-Main Municipal Parking Garage (entrance on Church Street).

Residents are welcome to attend and to submit suggestions to the Committee.

EnergySmart Homes Training Webinar: Heat Pump 101 Session
White Plains is promoting EnergySmart Homes, a clean heating and cooling program for our residents, as part of our Clean Energy Communities efforts. Please attend the volunteer training session on Thursday, March 3rd from 7:00-8:00 pm on zoom. Bring climate-friendly, clean heating and cooling solutions to our neighbors and help our municipality potentially earn CEC funds and points.
