Councilman Dennis Krolian has been a White Plains resident since 1983. He and his wife Eleanor have raised three children educated in White Plains Schools and now all college graduates. The family has lived in The Highlands and Soundview neighborhoods. Professionally, he is a trial attorney and member of the White Plains Law Office, Safranek, Cohen, and Krolian.

He served as a volunteer on the White Plains Human Rights Commission from 1987 - 1997 protecting the rights of victims of discrimination based upon race, sex, age, national origin, religion, and disability. Community activities include his service as co-vice president of the Council of Neighborhood Associations in 2006, the Soundview Civic Association treasurer, and CNA Delegate from 2006 - 2011.

In his position as District Leader in the White Plains Democratic City Committee, he has actively supported and helped to elect every one of our local officials since 2007.

He is a graduate of Fordham University, ‘73, and Gonzaga University School of Law, ‘79. His public service began in law enforcement with the Department of Justice, US Attorney’s Office, and Eastern District of Washington during law school. He fought organized crime as counsel to the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor and fought street crime as an assistant district attorney in Bronx County from 1980 - 1986.

As an officer of the court he has been appointed to the position of judicial referee and also serves as a mediator / arbitrator in attorney fee dispute cases.

Academically, his faculty positions have included: Hofstra University School of Law, New York State Judicial Institute at Pace University Law School, Berkeley College White Plains, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, New York State Bar Association, and Westchester Community College.

He is a parishioner, steward, and past Parish Council member of St. Gregory Armenian Church in White Plains.
