One White Plains Comprehensive Plan Committee Appointed.
On July 5, 2022, the Common Council appointed the One White Plains Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC). CPC members participate in regular CPC meetings to review and provide comments on draft plan content, represent the committee at public events, workshops, and in the community, host public hearings, and will ultimately forward a proposed planning document to the Common Council for their approval. Once adopted by the Council, the plan provides the foundation for future decisions on development and zoning, capital spending, and general policy decisions.

What is One White Plains?
A Comprehensive Plan is an official, long-range planning document that provides policy guidance for future growth and development, housing, infrastructure, and public services. Public input is critical to ensure that the priorities expressed in the plan are consistent with the community’s vision for the future.
One White Plains is the City's effort to engage the community in updating the next Comprehensive Plan (last written in 2006, with updates in 2012). One White Plains is supported by the CPC, City staff, and a team of planning, economic development and environmental consultants.
When does the CPC meet?
The CPC will meet monthly beginning September 21, 2022. CPC meetings are open to the public, although they are not public hearings. Meetings will be recorded; agendas, presentations, videos and meeting notes will be posted following the meetings.
