The City of White Plains Community Development Program has made $300,000 in Community Development Block Grant Cares Act (CDBG-CV) available to eligible businesses. Up to $10,000 in assistance is available to commercial enterprises in White Plains with five or fewer employees (including the owner(s)). Grant funds are intended to support microenterprises' adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds are available to businesses located within designated Target Areas or where the owner(s) meet income eligibility criteria. Self-employed individuals or home-based businesses may apply.
The online pre-application opens on November 15, 2021 and can be accessed at: cityofwhiteplains.com/GTB. Submissions will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until December 17, 2021. Funds will be provided for eligible businesses expenses incurred from March 2020 to present, on a reimbursement basis.
CDBG-CV funds must be used to prevent, prepare for or respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. All applicants must be able to prove hardship related to COVID-19. See the application materials for further detail.
