[ARCHIVED] Take It Or Leave It Shed

TRASH to One may be TREASURE to Others!

Please remember to RECYCLE gently used household items such as dishes, silverware, vases, bicycles, tables and chairs, etc. by taking them down the the Gedney Recycling Yard TILI Shed.
The more we reuse perfectly good items, the less we add to our landfills!

The Take It or Leave It Shed (TILI)
Open Wednesday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. - Noon

The TILI Shed operates on a seasonal basis from spring through October.

This volunteer operated recycling shed is a treasure in itself.  Once items* are dropped off for donation, they are immediately available to others who can use them.
In the spirit of giving and taking - this operation is on a first come, first served basis.

*Please note:  The TILI Shed does NOT accept any items made of or with fabric, i.e. NO pillows, fabric covered furniture, stuffed animals - no matter how cute they are - etc.

The Gedney Recycling Yard is open to White Plains residents Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m.to Noon, year round.
Residents may drop off other recycling items at the Gedney Yard such as commingled cans & jars, paper products, textiles (clean used fabric items) and electronics.
You may also pick up free top soil, mulch, compost and unsplit logs.

Please check the City of White Plains website for more information.

Have a great day. :)
