Seal - gold and blue

The most recent data provided by the county today indicates the cumulative number of people who have tested positive in White Plains since testing began is

1,822.The county estimates the number of active cases in White Plains to be 35.

Phase 3 continues and we are seeing more people enjoying outdoor dining, as well as running errands, getting a haircut, and shopping. This is great to see but it

is vital that we all continue to follow the social distancing and mask guidelines.

We have all seen the news about states that reopened quickly in the south and west who are now seeing a surge in cases. This experience has demonstrated that the risk is real. I cannot stress enough -- Please wear a mask and maintain social distance. We do not want to go back to where we were.

Both Kittrell and Gardella pools will open for residents only on July 1st. We have made operating changes to ensure that you can enjoy the pools safely and comfortably. Reservations will be required as part of our new protocols. Check cityofwhiteplains.com for more information.

And finally, a reminder that this is a Holiday week, so there will be no paper pick- up on Wednesday. Paper pick-up will resume on July 8th. If you live on a Thursday garbage collection route your trash will be picked-up on Wednesday. If you live on a Friday garbage collection route your trash will be picked on Thursday.

Our next call is scheduled for Monday, July 6th. I would like to take this opportunity wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable Independence Day. Remember, we are standing together by staying apart.
