New York State now has more than 330,400 positive cases. The total number tested in Westchester is 107,466; the number of people who have tested positive in the county is nearing 31,000. The county currently estimates the number of active cases in the county to be 4,272. The cumulative number of people who have tested positive in White Plains since testing began is 1,628. The county estimates the current number of active cases in White Plains is 211. This number only reflects people who have been tested.
There are 11 children in Westchester who are experiencing what may be a Covid related Pediatric Multi system Inflammatory Syndrome. Symptoms may include persistent fever, inflammation, abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea, body rash, swollen hands or feet, peeling of the skin, enlarged lymph nodes. If a child exhibits symptoms of this type it is important that you promptly seek medical advice.
As a reminder, individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 which include fever, cough and congestion can walk in to be tested at White Plains Hospital Emergency Department.
