DPW is temporarily suspending bulk and for sideloader routes, and metal and electronic pickups for all routes. Residents can continue to drop off metal and electronics at the yard. Textile collection at the yard is temporarily suspended as well.
Recreation and Parks Commissioner Bass would like to remind residents to maintain social distancing guidelines, a 6 foot circumference at all times, when visiting parks and open spaces.
The following events have been cancelled: Funny Bunny Morning, Cherry Blossom Festival, Answer to Cancer 5K Road Race and the Loucks Games.
A reminder from the Director of the Library, the building is closed, but the library is open. The staff has licensed and learned Zoom and they have developed an extensive list of fun, entertaining and educational programs for the month of April giving cardholders the opportunities to connect socially. The numbers released by NY State today indicate Westchester County now has 7187 cases of which 1243 are new. There are 44635 positive cases in NY State; 101 are White Plains residents. The total number of people tested in Westchester County is close to 30,000.
