September 11 Tribute

On Sunday, September 11, six American flags will fly from City Hall as homage to the residents of White Plains who gave their lives. A Remembrance service will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Liberty Park on Lake Street, the permanent memorial site for these residents. The ceremony will include a flag raising, utilizing an operation freedom flag, wreath laying, prayer, and reflections on this historic day.

On Wednesday, September 14 the City of White Plains Personnel Department and the American Red Cross will provide residents an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and give blood. The Blood Drive will be held at City Hall, 255 Main Street in White Plains, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Donating just one pint of blood can save up to three lives and is a wonderful way to give back. Pre-registration is available at Sponsor code WPCITYHALL.
